Arcade Fire's new music video is an open source Chrome experiment

Indie band Arcade Fire, which released its new single "Reflektor" at 9pm last night, has created an interactive video for the song using Google Chrome Experiments.

The film is called "Just A Reflektor" and filmed in Haiti. It follows a young woman who "travels between her world and our own".  By visiting the dedicated site, on a computer and on an Android or iOS device, the computer will connect with the mobile device and reflect consumers' actions onto the world of the film, creating a series of light, water, mirror-esque effects.

The Google Chrome Experiments platform is a "showcase of web experiments written by the creative coding community" and Arcade Fire’s new film is an interactive HTML5 film that uses people’s webcam, smartphone, tablet or mouse to create weird and dynamic effects while the film is running.
