Droga5 London created the launch campaign and visual identity for Coal Drops Yard, the new shopping and restaurant district in London's King's Cross, designed by Heatherwick Studio.
Opening on 26 October, Coal Drops Yard will be home to more than 50 stores, restaurants and cafes in a reimagined set of historic buildings and arches adjacent to Granary Square and Regent’s Canal. In the brand’s visual identity, an eclectic mix of images sit within abstract windows and shapes derived from heritage features and Heatherwick Studio’s contemporary design. Its font also mirrors the shapes of the architecture. The tagline, "All consumed," aims to redefine consumption by reflecting the experience of being submerged in Coal Drops Yard’s spaces. The outdoor and digital campaign features work from 25 illustrators, photographers, animators and visual artists, including the renowned Martin Parr alongside recent Central Saint Martins graduates.
