TalkCast, the digital communications company set up by the former
News International marketers Ellis Watson and Toby Constantine, has
appointed Armando Testa to handle all of its creative advertising.
The company, which launched in September last year, plans to spend about
pounds 8 million on advertising. Testa is already working on several
projects for the company, including a number of campaigns for TalkCast’s
digital media and telecoms products. TalkCast’s media is handled by
Carat, which was appointed at the end of last year.

understand our business, they are a significant contributor as we
continue to build our business.’
David Gray, managing director of Armando Testa UK, added: ’This is a
significant account for Armando Testa London. We are delighted to be

TalkCast’s management team includes a number of industry heavyweights,
including Frank Herman, the ex-managing director of Sega Europe, Roy
Bliss, the former managing director of Demon Internet, and two former
Sunday Times journalists.
TalkCast’s investors include Marks & Spencer Ventures, the technology
partner Autonomy, and the technology investment group Durlacher,
responsible for raising the initial pounds 20 million.
