Audible's new spot brings the full force of internet culture to the real world.
It begins as a woman scrolls through her phone at a train station. Suddenly, the tabs of her phone spill out into the real world, unleashing an avalanche of "fake news", hashtags and cats vomiting rainbows.
As the station quickly fills with games and celebrity news, the protagonist reaches for her earphones and drowns out the internet’s distractions with an audiobook narrated by David Tennant.
The ad follows Audible's "Mindful moments" campaign, which saw a team of monkeys take advantage of the platform for audiobooks and podcasts.
It was created by David O’Brien and Chris Bennett, and directed by Simon Willows through Agile Films.
