BA pulls advertising after Concorde crash

- British Airways has halted all advertising activity in the wake of last week's Air France Concorde disaster.

As a mark of respect for the deceased, steps were taken immediately to remove all press and internet advertising for a full week following the crash. BA's 48-sheet posters, however, will remain in place because of the logistical difficulties of removing them.

M&C Saatchi's latest television commercial for BA, which features celebrities including Michael Owen and Jerry Hall, is not on air at the moment so did not need to be pulled.

BA's media buying is handled by Initiative, with planning by Walker Media.
