Baidu announce mystery 'revolutionary' product

Baidu's CEO Robin Li made a rare media appearance this week, and discussed the company's plans for international expansion, the effects of Google's move away from China, censorship and the "revolutionary" product Baidu has up its sleeve.

Li spoke of plans to move into overseas operations as competition from "local" Chinese search engines and Internet service companies grows.

He said internationalisation is a "long-term investment" and that within five to 10 years he sees Baidu being available in multiple languages and pulling in a significant share of its revenue from international markets.
