Banc produces first national press work for Young's brewery

The London brewery Young's is launching its first national consumer

press advertising from 4 June through Banc.

The three ads are part of a pounds 1 million spend to support the

brand's move into the national marketplace and all feature Young's

trademark ram.

The first, for Triple A real ale, shows the ram in sunglasses with the

strapline "Hip Hops". Another, for Waggledance honey beer, shows a

yellow and black striped ram, and the third, for Double Chocolate Stout,

shows two moulded chocolate rams.

All three ads will run for two months in the sports sections of most of

the nationals, as well as the trade press. The Waggledance execution

will also run on 48-sheet posters.

The campaign was overseen by Banc's director of advertising, Peter

Harold, art directed by Craig Roderick and written by Stuart Blake and

Glenn Smith.

Media planning and buying is through Walker Media.
