Bank One names Deutsch to $60m business

- Bank One, the US's fourth largest bank, has appointed New York-based Deutsch to its $60 million (£37 million) advertising account following an extensive agency review.

Competing agencies in the review were not named. The account was previously handled by the Martin Agency, based in Richmond Virginia.

Brad Iversen, executive vice president of marketing, at Bank One Retail Group, said: "As a major financial services provider with a highly-recognised brand, we attracted a number of leading agencies to the review process. We selected Deutsch for the breadth of its national brand-building experience and high-energy approach to advertising."

Deutsch, which claims billings of $860 million, has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. It includes Mitsubishi Motors, LensCrafters and Ikea among its major accounts.
