Patrick Semple, the creative director of Bates Interactive has resigned from the agency to take up the newly created post of creative director for Blue Marble, the new media arm of IMP.
Semple, who leaves Bates after four years, was responsible for the creative work on a range of clients including Cable & Wireless, Shell International and the recently launched Number 10 Downing Street website.
Peter Hollins, managing director, at Blue Marble, said: "Patrick's challenge will be to marry the outstanding talent of the IMP creative department with the design and Internet savvy expertise of the existing Blue Marble team. Earlier this week Bates announced it had promoted Phil Tarver and Joe Dear to joint creative directors.
