Battersea Power Station transformed into ski resort for London Freeze: Photos

The outer area of Battersea Power Station has been transformed into a ski resort complete with a 31m high and 100m long snow jump for Sports Vision's "Freesports on Channel 4 Freeze" event sponsored by LG.

Event Magazine has exclusive photos of the site being transformed.

London Freeze takes place from 23 - 24 October and will feature snowboarding stars such as Danny Kass, The Dingo and Travis Rice, all taking part in the LG London Big Air Event to qualify for the Winter Olympics 2010.

Skiers including Tanner Hall, Jon Olsson and Jacob Wester, will also take part in the International Freestyle Ski Event.  

Music will be provided in the main stage arena and Blizzard Bar from bands such as Cypress Hill, The Enemy, The Automatic, Cage the Elephant and The Cuban Brothers.

Event organiser Sports Vision liaised with location agency Amazing Space, that works with Battersea Power Station owner Real Estate Opportunities, to stage the event.
