BBC "Sprout Boy" by Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R

Brussels sprouts are a recurring theme for entertainment advertisers this Christmas.

First, Sky showed a girl being whisked into her favourite movies while trying to dispose of some unwanted veg. Now, the BBC has released an animated film by Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R in which an unloved brassica called Sprout Boy is shunned until he finds acceptance among the Beeb’s biggest stars – including Peter Capaldi, Mary Berry and Idris Elba. The ad, which is narrated by Capaldi, was created by Marc Hatfield and directed by Smith & Foulkes through Nexus.
