BBC World has opened its second airtime sales office in Europe,
based in Paris.
The operations will be led by Laeticia Roederer, who will be responsible
for global airtime sales and sponsorship for the channel.
Roederer was previously employed on American Vogue, where she held
responsibility for the European ad sales division.
Jonathan Howlett, director of Airtime Sales at BBC World, said: ’Paris
is an increasingly important centre of international media expenditure
and we see it as a key market for generating revenue next year. We
intend to build strong relationships with the agencies and establish
contact with international clients.’
BBC World is available 24 hours a day in 200 countries. Its household
distribution exceeds 53 million.
