
The two agencies were dismissed by TfL following tissue meetings. After selecting an initial long-list of ten agencies, TfL whittled the field down to six, but only wanted to select four agencies to pitch for its business.
Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, Engine, Ogilvy & Mather and VCCP are through to the next round of TfL's statutory creative review and will be issued pitch briefs on 9 December.
Pitch presentations are scheduled to take place in early 2016.
TfL began its creative review in July 2015 and at the same time began reviewing its media agencies.
In addition to the transport body itself, the creative and media accounts include the advertising business for the Greater London Authority and its services – the London Fire Brigade, the Metropolitan Police and the London Development Corporation.
M&C Saatchi was the incumbent on TfL's creative account but the agency was knocked out of the pitch before the tissue meetings, spelling an end to a 15-year relationship.
