BBH Hires creative director for New York

NEW YORK - Bartle Bogle Hegarty has hired Ty Montague as creative director of its planned New York office.

Bartle Bogle Hegarty has hired Ty Montague as creative director of its planned New York office.

Montague, who is a former Lowe & Partners/SMS group creative director, is currently a freelance working out of his Connecticut based company, Montague & Co.

He was hired by John Hegarty, BBH chairman and creative director, who has been spearheading the launch of BBH New York.

Montague worked at Lowe and & Partners/SMS for several years and served as a group creative director on Mercedes-Benz until 1994. Prior to his time at Lowe, Montague worked at the former Chiat/Day, New York, on Reebok, and at Scali McCabe Sloves.

His freelance credits include a Coca-Cola Olympics effort for Wieden & Kennedy and a Black & Decker project for Fallon McElligott Berlin, New York.

Senior management at BBH were unavailable for comment.
