BBH names Fennell managing director

LONDON - Bartle Bogle Hegarty has appointed Ben Fennell as the managing director of its London headquarters. He replaces Derek Robson, who left last month to join Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco.

Fennell moves to London from Singapore, where he was the regional chief executive of BBH Asia-Pacific. UK-born, he joined the agency in 1994 as a graduate trainee and has worked across a number of the agency's largest accounts, running the Unilever Lynx/ Axe and One2One (T-Mobile) accounts.

He relocated to Singapore in 2002, with a brief to increase BBH's client list and presence in the region.

Fennell will report to the BBH chief operating officer, Simon Sherwood, and will work alongside the BBH executive creative director, John O'Keeffe, the chairman, Jim Carroll, and the deputy chairman, Guy Murphy.

Fennell will join the London office in March, following a six-month handover.
