BBJ Media Services is launching a spin-off communications
consultancy, Full Circle, in response to a growing demand for strategic
thinking in the youth sector.
Full Circle aims to service clients whose media buying is tied into
long-term group deals, but who are seeking additional strategic planning
on certain brands.
The BBJ director, Nigel Morris, and the communications planning
director, Andy Hearnshaw, have joined forces with the ex-Duckworth Finn
Grubb Waters account director, Mark Whelan, who now runs his own
company, ie, to front the new outfit.
The company will start life as a wholly-owned subsidiary of BBJ. It will
have access to the Carat-owned media independent’s resources, including
its proprietary youth research project, Media 2000. Profits will be
split 80/20 between BBJ and ie.
Jerry Buhlmann, the chief executive of BBJ, said: ’We are aiming to
ensure innovation in every part of the business.’
