BBJ wins lion's share of Coke media task

In a parallel appointment, Wieden & Kennedy's London office has retained the £7 million UK creative account for Diet Coke following a three-way pitch against unnamed agencies.

BBJ picked up media planning and non-TV buying across Coke's entire brand portfolio, leaving incumbent Universal McCann to hold on to the TV buying business.

The two agencies pitched against Starcom Motive in a review of the UK account called in late September. BBJ had come into the pitch in a strong position, given managing director Trista Grant's extensive experience working on the Coke account at McCann's.

Parallel creative pitches are currently ongoing for Coca-Cola's other brands, including Schweppes and Dr. Pepper.
