- Book Club Associates has appointed the independent interactive media agency, Profero, to handle a six-month online campaign for five of BCA's core clubs.
BCA Interactive, the online division of BCA, has recently launched 40 different websites bringing all of its book and software clubs online.
Tim Schiffers, head of BCA Interactive, said: "We have three main goals. The first one is to create an online environment for our existing members and an expanding range of information and services focused on their specific area of interest. Parallel to this we are developing co-operations with selected partners to provide our members with additional products and services. Our third objective is to recruit new members online, and this is where Profero comes into play."
BCA has allocated an initial budget of more than £1 million to support its internet recruitment strategy.
Profero will be developing campaigns for BCA Interactive clubs including Quality Paperbacks Direct, www.click.qpd.co.uk; Home Software World www.click.homesoftwareworld.co.uk; and Escape travel club, www.join.travelbookclub.co.uk.
