Like Morecambe and Wise, Brad and Jen or Boris and blunders, beer and burgers simply belong together.
NCA created a new brand identity and campaign for the independent restaurant chain Beer + Burger. The agency thought of 100 pairings or things that belong together, covering everything from the menu’s ingredients, politics, sport, current affairs, post-lockdown life and local references. Lines include "Key workers + pay rise", "The Euros + blind hope" and "Mums + hugs".
The ads ran as graphic, neon on black fly posters near restaurant sites in Dalston, Walthamstow, King’s Cross and Willesden Green. The team redesigned Beer + Burger’s website, menus and store fronts, while local residents could also receive scratch cards with the chance of winning food pairings.
