The event, taking place this Friday (4 July), will be for specially invited guests, including existing and prospective clients, who will be given a private showing of the world's only Bentley GT3R race car.
Kathy Male, the NEC’s senior account manager for conferences and live events, said: "We are delighted to host this prestigious event. The anniversary celebration is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the NEC’s flexible outdoor event space and delivery credentials with two well-established global brands."
Guests at the event will be able to see the new Lamborghini Huracan vehicle, the replacement for the Lamborghini Gallardo, as well as watch an exclusive viewing of new promotional videos from Bentley.
The evening will consist of music, cocktails and fireworks. Contemporary Event Structures will be providing a temporary structure for the occasion, which will be filled with six-metre-tall trees, luxury furnishings and ice sculptures.
Gavin Miller, director of Contemporary Event Structures, said: "We are working on a short lead time for this event, but it was important for us to secure the perfect venue and I’m confident we’ve achieved that with the NEC. While the ultra-modern event structures are temporary, the NEC team will supply everything we need to create a glamorous event from scratch in a great outdoor location."
Mark Hudson, general manager at Bentley Birmingham, added: "We are delighted to be working with Gavin and his team at Contemporary Event Structures on what we are sure will be a fantastic celebratory night to remember. We have lobbied hard with our manufacturer partners to secure both a Bentley GT3R and the Lamborghini Huracan for display on the night. This is quite a coup because we will be the first business in the country to be given the opportunity of displaying these breathtaking and evolutionary new super cars.
"While planning this event we looked at a number of venues, but the NEC stood out as our preferred choice because of its flexibility and perfect location."
