The Big Issue and the London coffee brand Old Spike Roastery have combined to launch Change Please, an initiative that pays homeless people the London living wage and helps them get back into the workforce.
FCB Inferno came up with the idea to buy mobile coffee vans and staff them with homeless people, and is also sponsoring the project. The scheme will launch with eight vans, which will travel to busy areas in the capital such as Covent Garden. All the profits will go back into the programme to buy more vans and train the next wave of baristas. Al Young oversaw the initiative.
