The Big Issue has turned into the world's first resellable magazine thanks to a campaign backed by celebrities including Gary Lineker, Roger Daltrey and Vincent Kompany.
The system, created by FCB Inferno and powered by Monzo, means each magazine can be resold after it has been read. The magazine comes with a scannable QR code that allows readers to pass it on to a friend, who can scan the code to pay for it again. The initiative will allow vulnerable magazine sellers to earn more and counter the challenges faced by the homeless in an increasingly cashless society. Big Issue vendors sell on average one magazine for every hour worked and earn £1.25 for each sale.
