BJK&E wins Illinois Bureau of Tourism media

LONDON - The Illinois Bureau of Tourism (IBOT) has appointed WPP's BJK&E to handle its UK media planning and buying account worth an estimated £1 million.

BJK&E won the account after a competitive pitch against other undisclosed agencies.
In its new online winter campaign, breaking this week, IBOT aims to position Chicago as a superior venue to New York for tourists travelling to the US this Christmas. The creative work is by JWT.
Most of the media budget will be spent on digital with activity including networks, portals, websites and incorporating contextual targeting.
Last month, IBOT launched a new Spanish-language website,, in an effort to reach more Hispanic consumers in the state, Chicago, and surrounding markets in other states.

Illinois is home to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.
