BMG Records, part of the Bertelsmann Group, is to centralise its

pounds 10m media account into its main incumbent agency, Media Campaign

Services, before holding another full-blown review at the end of the

year.

The stop-gap decision was reached after two months during which BMG has

been reviewing its media arrangements.

The record giant had invited three other agencies, beside the incumbent,

to pitch for the account in July: MindShare, Target and MBS. However,

Steve Gill, BMG’s media director, said he would not necessarily invite

the same agencies to pitch again.

BMG’s portfolio includes BMG Global, the record company’ commercial

marketing arm, RCA, Arista, Deconstruction and Northwest Side.
