BMP DDB took both of the top honours at the Campaign Poster Awards,
held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Wednesday night.
BMP DDB’s ’swear box’ ad for Volkswagen took a gold for the best
individual poster. The agency’s six executions for Sony - ’three times’,
’Loughborough’, ’poo’, ’tench’, ’Didcot’ and ’Uzi’ - won the gold for
best poster campaign.
’Swear box’ also won a silver for most innovative use of outdoor, best
automotive poster and best six-sheet /Citylight poster. ’Uzi’ also
landed a silver for best IT and consumer durables poster and ’poo’ won a
silver in the best use of underground, metro or rail advertising.
Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe took silvers for best 96-sheet, best media
or entertainment poster, best use of photography and best 48-sheet with
its ’brain in boot’ ad for the Times. The agency also won silvers with
its ’Caribbean’ execution for Virgin Atlantic for best travel and
leisure and best use of typography.
Young & Rubicam’s ’red’ campaign for the Colgate toothpaste brand picked
up a gold award for most effective use of posters.
