BMP DDB's Burke to open own radio ad production offering

The BMP DDB creative Paul Burke has left the agency after 14 years to launch his own radio advertising production company.

Under the guise of Paul Burke Productions, Burke will write, produce and direct radio commercials for advertising agencies, production companies and clients direct.

Burke started his career as a van driver for Abbott Mead Vickers, and had spells at Young & Rubicam and J. Walter Thompson. Although he has worked on many TV ads for BMP - including the Mrs Merton spots for British Gas and the Budweiser frogs - Burke has gained a reputation as a radio specialist. He has won 12 Aerial Awards - more than any other creative - for brands such as Volkswagen and Kit Kat.

Burke said: "Radio is the fastest growing medium in the country. I love doing it and I'd be nuts if I didn't start doing it for myself."
