BMP and MindShare win French internet shopping task

- BMP DDB and MindShare have been appointed to handle the £10 million pan-European advertising account of French internet shopping service, kelkoo.com, as it prepares to expand into the UK.

- BMP DDB and MindShare have been appointed to handle the £10 million pan-European advertising account of French internet shopping service, kelkoo.com, as it prepares to expand into the UK.

Last week Kelkoo acquired UK shopping site Shopgenie. Kelkoo is a comparative shopping service which allows surfers to get the best deals on the net by comparing the prices of a number of different sites.

Half of the £10 million budget is to be spent in the UK as Kelkoo targets rivals inlcuding shopsmart.com and the Asda-owned Valuemad.co.uk.
