BMP Solutions plots autumn launch for ITN News Channel

BMP Solutions in Media, the sister agency of OMD UK, is planning a multi-media launch campaign for the ITN News Channel.

multi-media launch campaign for the ITN News Channel.



David Johnson, senior strategic planner, will be in charge of

planning.



TV buying is headed by media account director Jonathan Allan, along with

media planner Matt Albrighton.



Suzi Bently, strategic services director, will handle online planning

and buying.



The channel is due to launch on 1 August with a consumer media campaign

set to break in the autumn.



Allan said he will be looking at a variety of platforms for the

launch.



Before choosing the media, his team will work closely with creative

agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty in developing the brand identity.



The 24-hour TV news service - a joint venture between ITN and NTL - will

be available on TV, digital radio, PCs and mobile phones.



Carriage deals with NTL, Telewest, Sky Digital, ONdigital and Digital

One mean the service will be available to more than 12 million UK

viewers.



BMP Solutions in Media’s clients include Sanofi Beaute and St Ivel.
