TDI has sold a range of its Underground sites to BMP OMD for a new
outdoor campaign for Strepsils Zinc Defence Lozenges.
Working with poster specialist Outdoor Connection, BMP OMD bought 12,500
Tube-car panels and 200 cross-track 16-sheets, as well as 350 selected
48-sheets, 17 sandwich boards and a couple of actors.
The actors will be performing live 30-second ads on the Tube. A
twenty-something woman leaps on a train and announces: ’They’re
everywhere.’ She warns the passengers: ’They can strike you down in a
A doctor-like figure then stands up and tells her: ’Yes they are after
you but they’re also after me.’ He addresses the whole tube by telling
them: ’You all need to put up a fight.’ Naturally, the commercial then
concludes that the Strepsils Zinc Defence Lozenges will help you build
your immunity levels to help fight off winter germs.
Adrian Skelton, account manager at Outdoor Connection, said: ’As soon as
someone coughs on the Tube, everyone in the carriage grimaces in the
knowledge that germs could easily come their way. One of the key
objectives of the campaign is to play on this fear and get the consumer
thinking about flu protection. This is timely and topical advertising.’
