The masterclass will see Chartreuse's brand ambassador, Nick Caputo talk attendees through the yellow spirit’s monastic past, as they gather at Bompas & Parr's Alcoholic Architecture installation in London.

The one-hour session will be accompanied by a real garden comprising herbs, flowers and plants that are used in the Chartreuse recipe. This area will be covered in a Chartreuse-scented dry ice.

Bompas & Parr has devised a Minted Chartreuse Swizzle concoction, comprising Green Chartreuse, mint, pineapple and lime for guests, and a 'secret' mist from Alcoholic Architecture’s spring menu will also be available.

Additionally, ticketholders will receive their own miniature samples of Green and Yellow Chartreuse – which are made from over 130 different herbs – to take home.

Upon conclusion of the event, Bompas and Parr will open up the Alcoholic Architecture installation to reveal a botanical-flavoured alcoholic fog.

Adam Lock, bar manager at Alcoholic Architecture, said: "Chartreuse is the most interesting of the monastic spirits we work with and it's used in so many classic cocktails. We were thrilled to do a masterclass with them to show people how monks used their skills as gardeners to create this interesting spirit."

Last month Bompas & Parr teamed up with jeweller GoldieRox to create a necklace made of glow-in-the-dark algae. It was unveiled at the launch of the label's new collection at London's Lights of Soho gallery.
