1. Lucy Jameson.
Jameson is the joint deputy planning director at BMP DDB, which she
joined as a graduate trainee in 1993. Since then, Jameson has
perpetuated the agency's reputation as a strong performer at the IPA
Effectiveness Awards, with a top prize for Marmite in 1998. Often
described as having huge enthusiasm and energy.
2. Dylan Williams.
A board planner at Bartle Bogle Hegarty. Joined in 1996 from Delaney
Fletcher Bozell. In his time there, Williams has worked on several of
the ageny's flagship accounts, including Audi. Regarded as spikey,
lateral and entrepreneurial (he ran a market stall while he was still at
school).
3. Richard Huntington. A planning partner at HHCL & Partners.
Huntington worked at the below-the-line specialist BHWG before moving to
Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO in the early 90s. There he worked on BT before
joining HHCL & Partners in 1997. At HHCL, he has planned on some of the
agency's best work, including Tango, for which he won an APG Award two
years ago.
4. Robert Tansey.
A board account planner at D'Arcy, Tansey is undoubtedly on the fast
track, having been put on the board earlier this year. He works on
Alliance & Leicester and some Mars business. He got two papers through
for these clients to the presentation stages of this year's APG
Awards.
5. Richard Butterworth. The joint deputy planning director of BMP
DDB.
This "relentless intellect" is responsible for planning on the
Volkswagen account. Another BMP lifer, he joined straight out of
university in 1992 and is regarded as a bit of an IPA Effectiveness
star.
6. Anna Hutson.
The deputy head of planning at WCRS, which she arrived at via stints at
Davidson Pearce and BMP, Hutson's ascent has been steady rather than
meteoric. But her climb has been unrelenting, and she is generally
considered to be one of the safest pairs of hands in the business.
7. Stuart Smith.
The board account planner at D'Arcy. Calm, methodical and highly
creative, Smith used to work for the government as a statistician before
going into advertising at Young & Rubicam. Smith is currently on a
sabbatical in South America.
8. Matthew Gladstone.
The board planner at Bartle Bogle Hegarty. Gladstone used to be a
client. He joined BBH from United Distillers & Vintners in 1997. He has
a reputation for being calm, mature and full of original ideas.
9. Nicci Crumpton.
A planner at Fallon. Crumpton started life as an account handler, before
making the switch while still at BMP DDB. One of the relatively few BMP
planners to have cut the umbilical cord from her alma mater.
10. Olly Taylor.
A planner at Fallon. Taylor started at the brand consultancy Galileo,
but moved across to mainstream advertising about three years ago.
Interested in the challenges faced by the brand, rather than obsessed by
"advertising as the solution to everything".
