Bourne golfing title to target upmarket lifestyle advertisers

A new golf title from Bourne Publishing Group, the Scottish Golfing Gazette & International Traveller, will go on sale on 5 July to coincide with the British Open golf tournament at St Andrew’s.

with the British Open golf tournament at St Andrew’s.



The annual, a spin-off from Scottish Sporting Gazette & International

Traveller, which is aimed at the fishing and shooting set, may be

published more frequently if it is successful.



The 148-page golf title will debut with a 40,000 print run, a cover

price of pounds 5 and a 30 per cent ad ratio.



Business development manager Sue Gilbert, recently recruited from Emap

where she sold Today’s Golfer and Fore, said she was targeting lifestyle

advertisers rather than the golf products associated with other

titles.



’We’re looking at categories such as upmarket resorts and premium

alcohol and clothing brands aimed at affluent golf enthusiasts,’ she

said.



Bourne’s portfolio also includes the monthly titles Your Cat, Your Dog,

Shooting Gazette and Pull!.
