An integrated internet strategy is to play a central role in Richard Branson’s bid to gain control of the national lottery.

An integrated internet strategy is to play a central role in Richard

Branson’s bid to gain control of the national lottery.



Branson has appointed online agency Syzygy, ad agency J Walter Thompson,

and communications company Mindshare to co-ordinate efforts.



Charlie Pownall, spokesman for Syzygy, said: ”Online will play a

significant role within a future national lottery.”



The views of retailers are currently being sought through an online and

paper survey.



Information will be published on the The People’s Lottery site

(www.thepeopleslottery.co.uk).



The new licence will be awarded in June 2000.
