The activation kicked off on 1 December, and features a sampling activity which is currently being rolled out across Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol. Over 20,000 shoppers will get to try cheese, crackers and turkey sandwiches accompanied by a range of Branston Chutneys.

The brand are encouraging guests to take selfies at the sampling van, and upload the photos to Instagram for a chance to win a range of Branston branded merchandise. Recipe cards will also be given away to showcase the versatility of their festive offering and demonstrate to consumers how they can liven up their ‘Leftovers Day’.

Nisha George, senior brand manager at Branston, said: "At Branston, we think the Boxing Day buffet is a quintessential British tradition that deserves to be celebrated. Our ‘Leftovers Day’ campaign has been re-launched to encourage consumers to use Branston to show their leftovers some love. We can’t wait to see what delicious dishes the British public create."

The campaign is being run in conjuction with Branston's Christmas advert, which features a father who appears to struggle with family challenges but manages to win back his credibility using Branston pickle.

Last month, Italian pasta brand Barilla launched a nationwide experiential tour. Also in November, wine company Coravin staged a sampling activity in London.
