Branston pickle has released its first TV ad in almost five years. Mcgarrybowen created the spot, which is part of the Mizkan Europe brand’s "make it special" campaign and depicts the relationship between a father and son. The ad shows that, although the dad is useless at making things such as birthday cakes and toy rockets, he excels in one area: fixing a sandwich – which, as far as his son is concerned, makes everything OK. The work was created by Brad Woolf and Dan Bailey, and directed by Si & Ad through Academy. UM London is handling the media planning and buying, which is set to cost £5.9 million over the next 18 months.
