Take a Break falls below one million

Take a Break, the market-leading women's weekly, is predicted to drop below the 1,000,000 circulation mark for the first time in 15 years in the forthcoming ABCs.

The magazine's circulation is expected to fall by around 3 per cent year on year to 990,000 when the July to December 2007 ABC figures are released in mid-February.

In the real-life sector, News Magazines' Love It! is predicted to suffer a 12 per cent drop. IPC's Chat and Pick Me Up will be up on the period, but down on the year.

The celebrity titles Now (IPC) and Emap's Heat and Closer are all predicted to have dropped around 10 per cent on the year and around 5 per cent on the period.

Emap's First magazine will continue to languish at the bottom of the sector. One source indicated newsstand sales of the title were as low as 60,000 in the past two months.
