A Scottish video chain has hired planning and buying agency
Brilliant to promote the launch of its new outlets.
Global Video has provided Brilliant with pounds 1.2 million to spend on
a national press, radio and direct mail campaign - which will then be
followed by a TV campaign next month.
The video chain already has more than 250 outlets in Scotland and
northern England. New outlets will open in Manchester, Birmingham and
Porthcawl in the first two weeks of November.
The planning team confirmed that Virgin Radio and Century 105 Northeast
have already booked airtime.
Brilliant will organise a door drop of at least 50,000 leaflets per
designated area, this month. The buying agency is also planning a UK
campaign to promote Global’s latest releases, Waking Ned, The Faculty
and 8mm.
The buying team has been confirmed and includes account director, Kelly
Foster and Brilliant’s director, Mike Silverstone. Media planner David
Ward will oversee the TV buying.
Brilliant was created last month as a result of a merger between
Yorkshire’s two largest buying agencies, Media Lane and DMS. Its client
list includes DVLA, Dixons Motor Group, Safestyle and Anglian.
