The British Red Cross' seasonal fundraising drive shows how the organisation has been putting the power of kindness to work for 150 years.

The spots shine a light on powerful true stories, such as the Blitz, Aberfan disaster, 2004 Boxing Day tsunami and 2015 Nepal earthquake, when the Red Cross helped people in crisis. Print ads use the visual device of a red timeline, with lines such as "Racing into the ruins as it rained bombs" – putting historical milestones through a new lens. The work was created by Megan Egan.
