Brutal and to the point

How did a pie save the lives of thousands of soldiers?

No idea? You'll find the explanation in a new book about to be published by the folks over at M&C Saatchi. The book showcases the ideas that had the power to shake the world, and they've named it after the agency's founding principle: Brutal Simplicity Of Thought. As book launches go, it promises to be a pretty swanky affair. It is being unveiled at the Victoria and Albert Museum on 19 September as part of the London Design Festival. Diary thinks it might merit a visit, if only to stock up on Champagne and canapes - before the brutal simplicity of winter sets in.
