BSkyB pays $1m for sky.com

The move is part of a strategy to unify its disparate web operations into a single location, which is being implemented by the former BT executive, John Swingewood, now BSkyB's director of new media. Sky's internet strategy, which includes sport and news sites, is seen to be lagging behind that of rivals.
