- The dispute between British Sky Broadcasting and the sponsors of the Ryder Cup has been resolved.
BSkyB has avoided the threat of legal action by agreeing to show some of the golf tournament on Sky Sports 2. Its previous decision had been to switch coverage to its Sky Box Office channel. However, the event's organisers, The European Tour, maintained such a move would cause confusion for viewers.
The switch would have left On Digital viewers unable to receive coverage on Sky Sports, which is also shown on BSkyB's pay-TV rival.
Sky Box Office will now show The Ryder Cup as a free event for three hours a day on Sky Sports 2 - a service On Digital viewers cannot access.
