The telecommunications giant has approached a number of agency networks through the AAR. The pitches are scheduled for the week of 25 September.
Although the geographical location of the network is unimportant, BT has told agencies it would prefer the account to be managed from either a major UK or US office. Experience in Asia would also be beneficial.
Conor Gunn, the head of BT.com, is managing the review, alongside BT's pro- curement department. Gunn declined to comment.
BT Global Services is attempting to position itself as an IT and networking services company - a space currently occupied by companies such as IBM and HP.
In February this year, the telecoms company appoin-ted Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R to its £17 million above-the-line account after a final shoot-out against McCann Erickson.
