Previously the head of strategy at Joshua G2, Budimlija will report to Stuart Sullivan-Martin, MEC’s chief strategy officer.

She has also been the head of planning at Nitro, the group planning director at M&C Saatchi and is a former head of planning at Leo Burnett Thailand.

Budimlija will work alongside the agency’s strategy director, Ian Edwards, and will also head strategy at MEC Interaction, the agency’s digital arm, and MEC Access, MEC’s sponsorship group.

Sullivan-Martin said: "We have an innovation and ideas culture at MEC and our strategy team has played an important part in our success over the past three years.

"Verra brings a new perspective, helping us to drive channel, content and data thinking even closer together."
