Burkitt DDB and Manning Gottlieb agree buying deal

LONDON - Burkitt DDB has signed a deal with Manning Gottlieb OMD that will result in it outsourcing all its broadcast and outdoor buying.

Manning Gottlieb will handle all TV buying for Burkitt's full-service clients. Initially, this will see televison buying for John Lewis and Drambuie move into Manning Gottlieb.

Burkitt has outsourced its broadcast buying in a bid to provide greater value and efficiencies to clients. However, it will continue to provide full-service planning.

Burkitt was one of the few remaining London creative agencies to retain media buying as a core service. It will continue to offer press buying for its clients.

The outsourcing follows the departure last year of Burkitt's chairman, Hugh Burkitt, and the vice-chairman, Tom Rodwell. The managing director, Jo Hoare, became the chairman of the agency and the deputy managing director, Julian Calderara, became the managing director.
