Burkitt DDB picks Taylor for MD role

Burkitt DDB is bolstering its management team and has appointed Daniel Taylor, the managing director of Walsh Trott Chick Smith, to take the same role at Burkitt.

Taylor will replace the agency's current managing director, Julian Calderara, who is taking up the new position of chief executive.

Taylor has spent the past 18 months at Walsh Trott. Previously he worked at D'Arcy (now merged into Leo Burnett) as the client services director, where he was responsible for all of the agency's COI Communications business.

Calderara said: "2004 was a very good year for the agency and we want to build on that by broadening and deepening our top-level management team. Daniel is a great asset for the agency, we are delighted we have got him."

Burkitt's client list includes John Lewis, Epson, Nestle Purina, Center Parcs and South West Trains.

Taylor said: "The agency has huge potential. Not only was I impressed with the management's ambitions for the business, I liked them as people."
