Burley and Stacey will oversee the judging by more than 70 industry leaders who will decide the most prestigious awards in UK commercial media, including the most coveted prizes for Agency of the Year and Sales Team of the Year.
Burley has headed M/SIX, a joint venture between The & Partnership and Group M, since 2010 and built it into one of Britain’s fastest-growing media agencies, with a client list that includes Just Eat, Toyota and News UK.
Stacey has run Digital Cinema Media, Britain’s biggest cinema sales house, since 2014, and increased revenues at a time when many other traditional media owners have struggled in the face of digital disruption and the Google/Facebook duopoly.
Burley said: "I am delighted to co-chair this year’s Media Week Awards. This is an exciting time to be working in media.
"As the industry moves into more data-driven delivery and tech-assisted audience reach strategies, we need to balance this with work that continues to push the boundaries creatively and that delivers commercial results for brands. The Media Week Awards has always been great at celebrating this."
Stacey said: "I've been privileged to judge the Media Week Awards for the past few years and I’ve always been so impressed by not only the creativity and innovation on display but the effort, passion and pride that goes into all the entries.
"It’s an honour to be joint chair this year and I look forward to being inspired by our very best work while celebrating the great industry we represent."
Burley was previously managing director of Hearst UK, when it was known as the National Magazine Company, until 2010 and is a non-executive director of Quarto Group, the book publisher.
Stacey previously worked at Bauer Media, where she was broadcast sales director and led a cross-media sales team, and is also a former non-executive director of Independent Radio News.
Media owners, agencies and other leading organisations involved commercial media will be competing for more than 20 gongs at the Media Week Awards.
This year has seen the launch of a new Best of Audio award, in association with Radio Centre, which recognises the best use of the medium from traditional broadcast and on-demand to voice interaction and search.
Entries for the Media Week Awards close on 29 June. The winners will be announced at a black tie dinner at the Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane on 12 October.
