Burnett's Miles and Staples leave to join John O'Keeffe at BBH

Bartle Bogle Hegarty has hired the creative team Adam Staples and Paul Miles from Leo Burnett to join its creative department.

The pair, who both work as art directors and copywriters, join BBH next month.

Miles said that he and Staples were happy at Burnett, but had drawn up a shortlist of agencies they would work for, and BBH was at the top of the list. "We've got to the stage where we've worked on all the major accounts at Burnett and when an offer like this comes along you don't turn it down,

he added.

The team received acclaim for their "crouton

execution for Heinz, which picked up a silver award at last year's Campaign Press Awards.

They also created the "Sleeping Beauty

spot for the McDonald's Tex Mex food promotion, which featured an animated Prince Charming galloping towards a palace, only to find his princess enjoying a siesta having eaten a Tex Mex meal.

BBH's creative director, John O'Keeffe, said he had had his eye on Staples and Miles for some time, and that they would maintain the strength of the BBH creative department.

"Although I was not specifically looking for people, I've admired their work for a while. The art direction is superb and they are great thinkers,

he added.

The 32-year-olds have worked as a team for the past three-and-a-half years. "We were bundled together, but by pot luck we clicked straight away,

Miles commented.

Staples joined Burnett from Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper six years ago and Miles joined from the youth marketing outfit the Leisure Process.
