Burnett's Starcom spins internet unit off

The new unit will be headed by Rishad Tobaccowala who was previously president of Giant Step, the interactive media agency in which Burnett owns a majority stake.

Tobaccowala, who will serve as president of Starcom, will focus on developing an in-house planning and buying capability that will work in tandem with Giant Step or clients' other interactive agencies.

Starcom IP will look to attract a range of clients as Burnett's looks to up its involvement in new media globally.
