The former director of social responsibilty at lottery operator Camelot has taken on a PR role as the company gears up for the next seven year licence period.
New director of external affairs Sue Slipman's job will be to soften up Camelot's image. She is the first PR at the operator's board level since former communications director David Rigg resigned three years ago in the wake of the "fat cats" pay scandal.
Her appointment comes as director of public affairs Louise White leaves Camelot, along with government affairs chief Richard Brown.
Director of corporate communications Andrew Jones said Camelot needed to gain different skills following its protracted win of the next licence.
