CAMPAIGN CRAFT: Glazer, Gondry and Gregg line up on BTAC shortlist for best direction award

The shortlist for the British Television Advertising Craft Awards is announced this week, with Jonathan Glazer, Michel Gondry and Colin Gregg fighting for the best direction arrow for their work on Nike ’parklife’, Polaroid ’resignation’ and Blackcurrant Tango ’St George’ respectively.

Lowe Howard-Spink’s ’smarienberg’ spot for Smirnoff Red is shortlisted

in four categories - cinematography, editing, video post-production and

stunts.



The 100-strong jury includes John Webster, Hugh Johnson, John Lloyd and

Alan Parker. The three shortlisted in the new director category are

Richard Tindall of And Howe for Club 18-30 ’confession’, Rupert Sanders

of Tony Kaye Films for Philip Treacy ’circles’ and Pat Holden of Blink

for Halifax ’fisherman’.



The second annual BTAC awards will be presented at the Royal Lancaster

Hotel on Monday 3 November at a ceremony hosted by the TV presenter and

author, Melvyn Bragg.
